Considered one of the best eye surgeons in Sri Lanka, Dr. Charith Fonseka has rendered a mammoth service to those with eye diseases. He has helped countless patients during his service of several decades as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the National Eye Hospital in Colombo.

Dr. Fonseka has pioneered the development of vitreo-retinal surgeries in the country and has trained several young vitreo-retinal surgeons himself.

He is an eye surgeon of international regard and recognition, with patients eagerly seeking his treatment throughout the world. Dr. Fonseka has also served as a past President (& essay writer Papertyper) of the College of Ophthalmologists in Sri Lanka.
